FINN has you covered

Unfortunately, accidents and technical problems happen. In order to help as quickly as possible, we've compiled the relevant information below.

What to do in an accident or breakdown

Inform the police
Inform the police

Once you’re in a safe location after your accident or breakdown, call 911 and notify the police as soon as possible. Once the police report is available, ask for a copy of the report including the name, address, phone number and license number of other parties involved in the accident.

Call the Damage and Maintenance hotline

After you’ve informed the police, contact our customer service team at +1 (888) 296-3688. We will guide you through all the necessary steps and take care of any required service or repairs needed to your car.

FINN will work with you and the third-party insurer to assist you with the claim process.

Schedule a repair

FINN will help you to arrange a repair for your car at a time that suits you. Billing is done directly between the service station and FINN.

If it’s a case in which the costs are not covered by FINN (for example, a flat tire) you will be billed by FINN.

Questions and answers about insurance

The insurance covering you and your vehicle is obtained by FINN through a third-party insurance company. Your insurance coverage will include liability insurance as well as comprehensive and collision coverage. You are responsible for any applicable deductible.

All FINN subscribers and registered additional drivers receive insurance to protect you and your vehicle.

FINN's standard insurance plan offers split limits of 100/300/100 for 3rd party liability that covers property damage and bodily injury.

Due to state regulations, FINN offers minimum financial responsibility (MFR) insurance coverage for New York subscribers. Learn more about this policy here.

For more information regarding what to do in the case of an accident, please see our Insurance & Coverage page.

Your subscription includes comprehensive and collision coverage. If damage occurs, you may be responsible for a deductible up to $1,000.

Motor vehicle liability insurance is required by law in the United States. Motor vehicle liability insurance covers damage that you, the driver, cause to other people or property.

The comprehensive insurance helps pay to replace or repair a vehicle that is caused by non-collision events such as weather, vandalism, and other acts of nature. Collision coverage helps pay for repairs related to collisions with 3rd party vehicles. You are responsible for the applicable deductible.

Flat tires:

Flat tires are not considered part of the normal vehicle wear and tear. Associated costs with a flat tire are therefore not covered by comprehensive insurance.

Loss of key:

If your key is lost, we will charge you a flat fee plus the cost of obtaining a new key from the manufacturer.

If another party in the accident is held liable for the damage, their liability insurance will cover the damage and you will incur no costs.

In most cases, FINN insurance offers split limits of uninsured (UM) and underinsured (UIM) motorists coverage for up to $50,000 and $100,000. In New York, we offer uninsured and underinsured motorists coverage up to $25,000 for a single person or $50,000 per accident. Read more about insurance coverage in New York

FINN allows for normal wear and tear on the vehicle, with the expectation that the vehicle is returned in good condition at the end of your subscription.

Note: Wear and tear outside of normal guidelines may result in excess wear and tear charges. Please read FINN's excess FINN Excess Wear & Tear Guideline for more information.

The insurance you receive through FINN only covers you while driving your FINN car subscription vehicle.

FINN insurance is automatically covered in your monthly rate and can not be removed from your subscription. Should you want additional coverage in addition to FINN's auto insurance policy, consult your insurance broker or agent.

The insurance you receive through FINN only covers you or any drivers that have been added as additional drivers to your subscription. Any drivers not added to your subscription will not be covered by insurance.

Yes. Please report any and all damages to the subscription vehicle promptly to FINN to avoid incurring any additional fees outside of your normal deductible. Unreported damage that is detected may be subject to an additional deductible and associated expenses.
