How to return your car to FINN

Four steps to return your vehicle to FINN

Is your subscription with FINN ending? Don't worry, we have an easy four step process from selecting your preferred return method to receiving your final invoice with no hidden costs.

Step 1: Select your preferred return method

About 4 weeks before your subscription ends, you will receive an email from us where you can select your preferred return method.

When returning your FINN vehicle you will have two options:

  1. Have it picked up from your front door for a $199 one-time fee
  2. Drop it off at one of our compounds for no additional cost. Please note that FINN is not responsible for accommodating transportation back from the compound.

Step 2: Prepare your vehicle for return

Before returning your FINN vehicle, you will need to ensure your the vehicle is in proper condition. Please refer to the checklist below to prepare for your return:

✓ The car is completely cleaned inside and out

✓ All provided accessories remain in the car

✓ All personal items, stickers or adhesive films have been removed

✓ Original tires are on the car

✓ Service booklet remains in the car

✓ All vehicle keys are returned

✓ Vehicle registration remains with the car

✓ All previous damage has been reported to FINN

✓ The fuel/charge level is the same as when you first received your car

A note in advance: You do not have to return your vehicle with a full tank. It is enough to have the fuel/charge level the same as when the vehicle was delivered at the beginning of your subscription. You can find the original fuel/charge level in your handover protocol that is sent upon delivery.

Step 3: Have your vehicle checked by an independent expert

Once the vehicle is back in FINN's possession, a third-party expert will examine the vehicle for any damages or excess wear and tear and prepare your vehicle condition report. A few days after your return, you will receive the return protocol by email along with the third-party condition report documenting any damages incurred.

Step 4: Receive your condition report & final invoice

After the vehicle has been returned and inspected, we will email your final invoice with any additional charges (e.g. excess mileage, damages, pickup fee) for the current subscription. We aim to repair potential damages ourselves but in the event of significant damages there is a chance you will see an additional charge on your final invoice.

What will I be billed for at the end of my FINN subscription?

When you return your vehicle, it will be properly checked for damages, excess wear and tear, and missing items that were a part of the handover (e.g. keys, floor mats, etc.). If there are any damages or missing items your final invoice will include these items along with any additional one-time fees that were incurred throughout the subscription (e.g. excess mileage, pickup fee, etc.).

Note: You are required to immediately report accident damage. You are responsible for the amount of the deductible. If damage is not reported, you will be billed for the full amount of the damage to the vehicle.
